Chia Seed Oil

Benefits

Anti-inflammatory, reduces hair loss, soothes dry skin, helps heal and repair skin

What is it?

"Chia seeds are tiny black seeds from the Salvia hispanica plant that are considered one of the most nutritious foods, also known as a ""functional food."" Rich in fibre, protein, and omega-3 fatty acids, the seeds can be eaten dry or added to smoothies, juices, yogurt, oatmeal, and salads.

With high antioxidant content, chia seeds are thought to benefit skin health by protecting skin cells against free radical damage. Applying chia seed oil keeps skin hydrated and prevents moisture loss.

According to Ayurvedic practices, massaging chia seed oil mixed with coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, and honey into hair and scalp helps control hair loss through the oil's soothing and healing properties.

Certain compounds like omega-3 fatty acids and fibre in chia seeds may also aid weight loss and help manage cholesterol levels through antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, which reduces heart disease risk."
