Your Ultimate Hair & Scalp Routine

Here's how to use your Delhicious haircare products, what to expect, and how to build a routine that actually works for your hair.

Your Wash Day Routine

Step one: Pre-wash Treatment
Rich Roots Hair Oil/Scalp-Eaze Balm

For: scalp health, growth, strengthening, repair

How: apply directly to scalp in sections (about 5–8 drops total for medium-length hair). Massage in circular motions for 2–3 minutes. Either leave overnight before washing, or use as a between-wash scalp treatment for 30 minutes before bed.

Frequency: 1–3 times per week

What to expect: scalp feels less tight from week 1. New growth and less shedding from week 12.

Step two: Cleanse
Rich Roots Shampoo

For: gentle, scalp-focused cleansing

How: dilute a 10p-sized amount in your hands with water before applying. Focus on the scalp and roots. Let the water rinse through the lengths.

Frequency: 1–2 wash days per week (more often for very oily scalp, less often for dry/curly)

What to expect: scalp feels cleaner without that "stripped" tight feeling. Less itchiness over 3–4 weeks.

Step three: Nourish
Rich Roots Conditioner/Hair Mask

For: moisture, manageability, shine

How: mid-lengths to ends only. Avoid the scalp unless your scalp is very dry. Leave 2–3 minutes, rinse with cool water.

Frequency: every wash

What to expect: softer, easier to detangle hair from the first use. Reduced breakage over 4–6 weeks.

Step three: Leave-in Conditioner
Rich Roots Hair Oil Mist

For: hydration, shine and reduce frizz

How: spritz on to damp or dry mid-lengths to ends only. Avoid the scalp unless your scalp is very dry.

Frequency: Daily treatment

What to expect: softer, easier to detangle hair from the first use. Moisturised, stronger hair over 4–6 weeks.

"I've been using the growth kit exclusively since January and couldn't be happier with the results! My hair is so much thicker, stronger, shinier and overall healthier. I've tried so many overpriced professional brands and these are by far the best hair."

When to expect results

Your hair journey - what happens when
  • Week 1
Scalp feels less irritated. Hair feels softer immediately after washing. You might see slight oiliness as your scalp re-balances - this is normal and settles within 2 weeks.
  • Week 2-3
The "is this working?" wall. This is when most people give up. Don't. Your scalp's natural oil production is re-calibrating and your hair follicles are receiving sustained nourishment for the first time. Trust the process.
  • Week 4-6
Visible improvement in hair texture. Less breakage when you brush. Scalp feels noticeably healthier. Friends start asking what you're doing differently.
  • Week 8+
New growth becomes visible at the hairline and parting. Hair feels stronger from root to tip. Length retention improves - you're losing less hair to breakage.
  • Months 4-6
The version of your hair you've been waiting for. Stronger, fuller, healthier than it's been in years.

Common Haircare FAQ's

1–3 times a week is the sweet spot for most people. Daily is overkill and can lead to build-up. Less than weekly and you won't see the benefits.

The Hair & Scalp Oil lasts 6–10 weeks of regular use. The shampoo and conditioner each last 4–6 weeks for medium-length hair with twice-weekly washing which is why we encourage regular customers to subscribe so you don't break the rhythm of your routine.

Yes they're formulated with all hair types in mind, but especially benefit curly and textured hair which tends to need more moisture and gentler cleansing. You may want to space wash days further apart (every 7–10 days) for the best results.

You're using too much. A few drops total is enough for a full head of medium-length hair. If it still feels greasy, you may need an extra shampoo cycle on wash day.
