What is it?

Assam tea is a black tea named after Assam, India, the region of its production. It is manufactured specifically from the plant Camellia sinensis var. This is the main plant used for the majority of tea produced around the world. Rich in antioxidants, the polyphenols found in Assam tea can also potentially aid in maintaining skin elasticity and slowing down the ageing process. Moreover, the caffeine and tannins in Assam tea have astringent properties that can help tighten pores, reduce puffiness, and brighten skin complexion. It can also be used topically as a natural body scrub to help buff away dry flaky skin.
