Our Story

January 2018
Husband and wife Zak and Zara were expecting a little one but during this time, Zara began to experience intensely dry, painful and problematic skin. Wanting to find a natural solution, she recalled all the times her own mother used their South-Asian heritage to find a solution to any skin or hair issue. They formulated a product using unique Indian ingredients which transformed her skin. Zara's grandmother who was from Delhi in India, came from a long line of 'hakims' who used Ayurvedic recipes to promote natural healing - hence the brand name 'Delhicious'.

From our kitchen, to glossy magazines. Harpers Bazaar's beauty editor tried our body scrub and loved it! It featured as a 'must have' product for glowing skin and we were over the moon!

Time for some blood, sweat and tears. The UK's beauty subscription box giant Glossybox places an order for 100,000 units of our Original Black Tea Body Scrub which we handmade, packed and delivered from our house. To do this, we moved our furniture into storage and bought in some industrial manufacturing equipment as well as manual labour in the form of friends and family (we love them dearly). Call us crazy!

Delhicious hits the shelves! Debenhams becomes our first in-store retailer and our body scrubs sell out on day one!

Fast forward to 2021 where it gets even more exciting - we launch our plastic-free Migh-tea Moisture balms which quickly went viral and racked up an eye-watering waiting list of 50,000 people. We were blown away!

We face the dragons on BBC Dragon's Den. Although we didn’t get the investment, we gained a lot of love and support.

May 2022
An incredible moment as we move Delhicious out of our home (no more packing orders in our toddlers bedroom) and into our new warehouse where our story continues…
